Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in 2005 & has a vast level of experience both within cricket & private practice. Nick has been involved at Cricket Victoria since 2008/9, has been the senior/lead physiotherapist with the Victorian Men’s team since 2013/14 & more recently taken responsibility as the Sports Science Sports Medicine (SSSM) Manager. He has also been the head physiotherapist for the Melbourne Renegades since the inaugural BBL01 season (2011/12). Nick has 11+ years of private practice experience (2005 – 2016) consulting at PhysioWorks Health Group under practice director David Francis (Collingwood FC)

Megan Roy

Megan is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with almost 15 years clinical experience & has completed a post graduate Masters in Sports Physiotherapy as well as Level 1 ASCA training in Strength & Conditioning. She has worked in various sports and elite settings including; Tennis Australia & at the Australian Open with some of the top female tennis players in the world, Box Hill SSC Tennis School, Hawthorn AFL & Eastern Ranges TAC cup, Victorian Basketball & Gymnastics, Commonwealth Games and SEABL & WNBL Basketball teams. Her experience in Cricket extends from being the team Physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Cricket team and more recently at Cricket Victoria with the Victorian Women’s team and Melbourne Stars WBBL. Along with sports team involvement, Megan has enjoyed clinic consulting and brings with her experience in clinical practice & practice management having previously been the Clinical Manager of a large Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne.

Brendan Goonan

Brendan graduated from a post graduate Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009, has all so completed an Exercise Science degree and Diploma of Education. Brendan has been working in private practice since graduating and is currently working part time at Olympic Park Sports Medicine. He previously worked as head physiotherapist with De La Salle Amateur Football Club and has experience working in a variety of sports injuries. Brendan has extensive experience in cricket injuries having worked within Cricket Victoria for 8+ years. Currently he holds the role of Academy Physiotherapist, looking after the Futures League, U19 and U17 squads.

Helen Duong

Helen offers 10 years of Sports, exercise and rehab nutrition experience gained from her work in High Performance Sport and private practice.

 

Helen has been the Lead Sports Performance Dietitian at Cricket Victoria since 2012 and is passionate about blending advanced sports/rehab nutrition science with a practical and simple ‘real-world’ approach. She is also currently the AFL Academy Victoria Hub and St Kilda NGA Performance Dietitian, while also consulting to the students of the Melbourne Conservatoire of Ballet (formerly the ACB) and the newest A-league Football Club, Western United.

 

Her clients and athletes are coached through the knowledge and processes required to sustainably achieve and maintain goals, and balance the pressure and demands of sport while cultivating a healthy a flexible and positive relationship with self and food.

Ashleigh Downes

Remedial Massage Therapist

Ashleigh completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2010.  Since completing her diploma Ashleigh has worked within a number of elite sporting clubs as well as private massage clinics. Ashleigh has been involved as a Massage Therapist for Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Stars since 2012 and has plenty of experience working with State and International players. During the AFL season Ashleigh is a Sports Trainer at the Richmond football club and has been since 2013.

Kirsty Lamb

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kirsty completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in January 2019. She has also completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science/ Sports Science at Victoria University in 2017.

​

Kirsty has been working with Footscray VFL since completing her Diploma. She also runs her own business alongside her sporting commitments.

 

Kirsty was a part of the Vic Spirit squad for 5 years and Melbourne Renegades for 2 years before switching to AFLW where she currently plays for the Western Bulldogs.

Av Kumar

Physiotherapist

Av studied Human Movement / Management at The University of Ballarat University, graduating in 2008 & then completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy at University of Melbourne in 2013. Within one month of finishing university he started working at Footscray Cricket Club as the club physiotherapist & continues to enjoy that role today.  Av has been an Academy Physiotherapist at Cricket Victoria for the last 3 seasons & has been fortunate to have attended 6 U15/17/19 National Championships for the Victoria Country/Metro teams along with helping some of the Mens and Womens senior squad trainings. Av is interested in treating all forms of cricket injuries & also has wide experience in other sports including Basketball (NBL-Sth East Melbourne Phoenix), Cycling and Football. He also works at La Trobe University helping the Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre investigate knee reconstruction surgery and rehabilitation (ACL injuries).

Thihan Chandramohan

Physiotherapist

Thihan is a highly skilled physiotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience. Graduating from Melbourne University, he ran a private practice in Melbourne’s north and pursued his passion for sports physio through amateur and VFL football. He became lead physio of the Victorian Women’s Cricket team in 2007 and headed the inaugural season of the CV Academy the same year. In 2009, he was called up as lead physio for the Victorian Men’s Cricket team, a position he held until 2013. He also looked after the Melbourne Stars in the BBL during this period. A 4-year stint in the UK followed, as lead physio and head of sports medicine at Hampshire County Cricket Club. He has recently returned to Melbourne after 3 successful years with the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, culminating in the 2019 World Cup in the UK.

Thihan loves using all the skills he has learned treating elite players, to help people of all levels return to activity as quickly as possible

Nitin Madan

Physiotherapist

Nitin completed his Physiotherapy degree from Monash University before relocating to Traralgon to begin his Sports Physiotherapy career working alongside regional cricket and football teams. Following this he returned to Melbourne to work in Private Practice and to take on the lead Physiotherapy role for Kingston Hawthorn in Victoria’s Premier Cricket Competition.

A keen fast bower, Nitin has suffered multiple stress fractures and has had 2 disc surgeries so that has given him firsthand experience on rehabilitation and recovery involving the spine. Nitin utilises his personal experience and a strong academic base to get his players quickly back on the park
